Succotash

- INGREDIENTS
2 10 oz. pkgs. frozen succotash, thawed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. dried summer savory, crushed or black
or white pepper
- 3/4 c. diced green bell pepper
- 1 tsp. onion powder, or 1/4 c. chopped green onion
- 2 c. peeled, seeded and diced tomato

COOKING DIRECTIONS
In saucepan, bring water to a boil, add succotash and cook, uncovered
for 5 minutes. Add next 4 ingredients, blend well
and cook 5 more minutes, stirring often. Remove
from heat and stir in tomato. makes approximately
5 cups.
To Do Ahead: Can be made 1 day ahead before
adding tomato. At serving time, heat thoroughly,
remove from heat and stir in tomato.
